THE HANGOUT

Arrivals and Departures policy

The Hangout recognises the importance of having robust systems in place to ensure the safe arrival and departure of the children in our care.

The manager will ensure that an accurate record is kept of all children in the Club, and that any arrivals or departures are recorded in the register. The register is kept in an accessible location on the premises at all times. In addition we conduct regular headcounts during the session.

Arrivals

  • Our arrivals procedure is as follows; parents will drop off their children at The Hangout entrance, clearly signposted, upon entry to the building please ring the bell located to the left of the door and a member of staff will greet you.

  • Parents will need to arrive promptly for a 9am start.

  • A staff member will sign your child in, in your presence.

  • If a different adult is collecting the child from that who dropped off, a member of staff will need to be notified via email/mobile/Facebook messenger.

  • All children will sanitise their hands thoroughly upon entrance.

  • Parents are encouraged to ask any questions over email, txt or phone call prior to dropping off their child to the club.

  • Parents avoid talking for lengthy periods with staff at the entrance as this will cause delays and crowding at drop off time.

Departures

  • Our departures procedure is as follows, parents will collect their children from The Hangout entrance where the children were dropped off in the morning.

  • Parents will collect their children promptly at 3pm, a late charge of £5 per 15minutes will be incurred.

  • Parents will sign their child out as evidence of collection.

  • The parent or carer must notify the Club if they will be late collecting their child. If the Club is not informed, the Uncollected Children policy will be followed.

  • Parents are encouraged to ask any questions over email, txt or phone prior to collecting their child to avoid delays at collection time.
